NASA organizes an annual apps’ challenge to understand and solve for earth related problems. For example,
- As the information and data keeps growing, we need to understand the impacts of both natural and human induced changes on the planet.
- Water is major part of our planet & a life force, they want to visualize the relevant data to see if we can discover any better ways to manage water cycles.
- Understand life better as we know it on this planet, which will no doubt help as we explore the universe for life forms.
- Last but not the least, playing with their data and tool set will give an insight in to challenges of collecting data and the designing of better tech to accelerate the mission.
