{"id":130,"date":"2017-01-31T13:29:34","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T18:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pieneers.com\/blog\/?p=130"},"modified":"2017-01-31T13:33:15","modified_gmt":"2017-01-31T18:33:15","slug":"excuses-that-we-use-for-not-innovating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pieneers.com\/blog\/excuses-that-we-use-for-not-innovating\/","title":{"rendered":"Excuses that we use for not innovating"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>Have you heard people say things like, that is R&amp;D&#8217;s job; boss will never go for it; Innovation is not our business; I am getting too old for this, etc etc.<\/p>\n<p>These are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ideachampions.com\/weblogs\/archives\/2008\/04\/the_top_100_lam.shtml\">some of the excuses<\/a> you hear often in a corporation, when you ask people why there is a lack of innovation. Excuses are what we use to avoid the work or as Mitch points out they may also be a clear assessment of current reality.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, we the people have to take control and challenge excuses and question the assumptions. \u00a0People innovate not the corporations!\u00a0How do we fix this? \u00a0Like everything else in life, take it slow, address the excuses piece by piece. \u00a0As Mitch suggests, take three of the most bothersome excuses and turn them into questions like, how can I\/we? and brainstorm.
