There are two pieces of the puzzle. One is you need to break it down the problem into bitable chunks and find solutions. Two, come up with solutions for those smaller scale problems. In several cases, the solutions and technologies might already exist and the key issue is lack of proper distribution mechanism!<\/p>\n<p>Take, for example, solar lighting for small poor families, which is economical and pays itself in very short time, but yet solar lights have achieved less than 0.5% distribution in sub-saharan Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the D-Prize, which is trying to take a crack at the distribution problem!
